EAP 5836 is a 3-credit Summer course required for international teaching assistants with SPEAK/TSE scores of 45 or 50 who will be assigned to teach during the Summer 2004 semester. This course will consist of a weekly (3 hour) seminar, and biweekly (one hour) individual conferences with the course instructor. In addition, throughout the Summer semester, you will be videotaped every other week teaching in your lab/classroom and will be responsible for biweekly written analyses of your oral communication.

EAP 5937 is a 2-credit Summer course open to international graduate students wishing to improve their oral skills. It is not equivalent to ASE courses offered during Spring and Fall terms but offers practice in a variety of presentation, discussion, and interpersonal skills required for successful participation in graduate studies. It will feature regular classroom interaction with native speakers as well as a pronunciation component.
