Gordon Tapper (M.A. History - University of Florida) is the coordinator of ASE. His current research interest focuses on the bidirectional negotiation between interlocutors required to achieve successful cross-cultural communication and on the pragmatics of exemplary cross-cultural teaching.

Jules Gliesche (Ph.D. University of Wisconsin - Madison) is a linguist whose interests include second language acquisition, language instruction, historical linguistics, dialectology and technology. Along with teaching for ASE, he also maintains and develops the ASE website and database, as well as the website for the TESOL International Teaching Assistant Interest Section.

Jolee Gibbs (B.A. Recreation - University of Florida) is the office assistant to Gordon Tapper at ASE in the mornings and to Dr. Caroline Wiltshire in the main Linguistics office in the afternoons. She enjoys her split position at UF which allows her to meet a variety of people and work closely with two colleges; CLAS and RGP.
